When life takes over

It's 1am and i know I should go to bed now. My body is telling me that I have the ever so demanding PE at 8.45 am later and a long day ahead of me. Yet, my mind refuses to cooperate and isn't letting me go to bed.

I've done everything in my late night plan- Math tutorial, Economics essay, Talked to multiple people on MSN, Scanned through facebook way too many times, Talked to J and even talked to V.

I know it's time for bed but somehow everything seems so stagnant. The world is at a standstill and no one is moving yet the damn clock is ticking so arrogantly.

STOP TAKING MY TIME AWAY YOU FREAK!

I think I'm scared of going to bed 'cause going to bed will signify the end of my weekend and the start of a whole new week. Oh the survival till friday nights!

I've been reduced to nothing since school started.

I end school at an average of 5pm everyday, come home to find myself painfully exhausted and end up being a rebel and not doing my work. Then, I find myself falling asleep in lectures and resorting to the most insanely stupid ideas to keep myself awake.

For the record, I've tried eating sweets, chewing gum, using facebook on my phone, playing blockades on my phone (the game sucks but the vibration keeps me awake!) and even singing.

Okay, so maybe I'm over exaggerating as always. . .

In all sanguineness, school isn't THAT bad.

I've come to terms with most of it.

I like economics because the knowledge is new and refreshing.

I like chemistry because my tutor seems to hate me since i'm constantly messaging in his class. (Massive irony, i know. it's called a love-hate relationship. haha)

I like physics 'cause the lecture theatre is filled with boys.

And I like math 'cause curves are so sexy!

GP is mundane if you ask me. I still wish I had taken KI but oh well at least I'll get the benefits of a better vocabulary. :)

PW, on the contrary, is a complete bitch- and we haven't even started on it proper! what a douche.

CCA wise, I quite enjoy drama here. It's totally different and probably no where near the excellence of AC's but I'll settle for this I suppose.

Oh, one more thing. . . is there an all girls junior college?

'cause I kind of won't mind transferring over.

Being a virgin nun and having an education in an all girls school for 10 years certainly did me a lot of good character wise.

I simply can't appreciate boys. Not the indians, not the chinese, not the malays, not the vietnamese, malaysians or anyone else!

They swear in my face, deliberately be stupid and tease me and do the most bizarre of bizarre things.

Inspired by the Epidemic

This is It.

The verdict of the epidemic will hit us in approximately 37 hours.

It's no spanish flu from World War I nor Swine Flu from 2009 but it's probably just as lethal.

What else in this world can cause so much agony, so much stress, so much perplexity and an even larger stir of emotions in such a short period of time.

It's coming to attack us, I swear, and I don't know about you but I'm facing it squarely in the face. Adrenaline surging and hormones raging or what not, I'll collect that slip of paper and hold it up high.

Okay, fine.

I guess it won't be right to call it an epidemic. Way too negative.

More like a shooting star, or a rainbow.

We've chased it for an unmeasurable period and here we are.

Soon, we'll find out- is that pot of gold everyone talks about really there? It's reality beyond description, sound without hearing and earth without air.

I want to know.

I've been fruitlessly finding, desperately dashing while on that rainbow and I need to know now!

That pot of gold needs to be there, effortlessly waiting for me like it was all meant to be.

I'm not asking for any leprechaun because honestly I think I was granted with that 2 days after O's ended. (HAHA, boy)

All I need is for 4 years of work to translate into one thing, all right.

I don't get it. It's just O level results right. Why are we all freaking out?

Think about this. . .

What's going to change now?

God has decided that fated number and sealed it to your name.

It's in that envelope already, black on white, in that safely secured room in MOE.

Why worry now? Why freak out? like that's going to change your score right. change that 54 to a 6 or change that 21 into a 12.

It's all bull shit. All this freaking out and counting down. It's self induced worry and I can't take it.

It's not a matter of praying for good results no more. It's a matter of praying to receive what you deserve. It's about knowing that whatever grades you receive in 37 hours will be given to you for a reason. Your path has been traced out for you with that number and it's only going to lead to good. Just follow it.

There's this emotion in us.

Person A calls it worry.

Person B calls it anxiety.

Person C calls it nervousness and Person D calls it F***.

I call it . . . the unfathomable.

It's true. We don't understand that emotion in us. We think it's worry/anxiety and what not.

It's not okay. It's not. No one knows what it is so why bother defining it. We all know we don't like it so banish its existence before it propogates.

So, in 37 hours time, what I'll see on my results slip is not a number but a simple one word- contentment.

Because with that and divine intervention, everything else will fall into place.

So, a part of me is looking forward to leaving the country again.
It feels like I'm heading for a retreat where I'll change again and hopefully become a better person.
It's nice that I'm getting away from the hassle of Singapore and my reliance on technology, going to a place full of culture and heritage to witness a part of the world so distinctly different from everything else.
But mostly, I'm looking forward to buying more indian clothes because I seriously seriously need them.
HAHA

I'm exceptionally happy that I'm coming back in time for christmas though because I really want to spend it with Daddy this year, in my homeland (My homeland is Singapore not India. thanks).
Anyway, I'll miss you guys. :)

I think I should have made a list of what I want to achieve these few months a week ago but since I didn't, here goes. . .

my family is crazy. the crazy gene is especially dominant this time of the year. maybe its the rain. anyway 12.36 in the afternoon and i've already had a deranged aunt whom i havent seen in about 6 years yell at me cus she's not allowed in the house about how she has to come in and make sure ahma didnt fall or something and that she herself is dying of a terminal illness which the last time we heard was a torn ligament and that she wouldnt step foot in our house if not for the fact that ahma needs her and she's dying too. she also hopes that those who are doing this to her and ahma go to hell. she threatned to call the MOM on my maid and told her she'scall the police and started taking picutures of our house. anyway she came in. then father came home then mother came home and she said she's going to make a police report before she does and then they called an ambulance to get my ahma to the hospital to make sure if she had fallen cus aunt may report saying that she fell and blame us. but ahma doesnt want to go to the hospital. so currently theres an unhappy ahma who doesnt want to go to the hospital and a furious mother outside waiting for the ambulance to come and a deranged aunt somewhere around the streets.

and from what i gathered from the situation, we're all dying and the police are involved.

if for some reason one day aunt nuts happens to google CRAZY AUNTS sees this post : you belong in the looney bin.

Dear Anisha,

You are currently three weeks away from the start of your O levels and six weeks away from the end.
I'm not sure whether you are rejoicing or moaning but either way you jolly well be studying!
Given the current circumstances, you are supposed to be at a 80%-20% study-play percentage; meaning that you should be studying 80% of your time and playing 20%.
However, clearly you seem to possess a bipolar disorder ( JUST LIKE RIS LOW!) that makes you have mood swings and hence a fluctuating studying efficiency. Either that or you just seem to have an extreme lack of discipline. I know you're one hell of a delirious girl so you probably choose the former over the latter.
As such, through careful analysis, you are currenly at a 60%-40% study-play percentage which is ostensibly unacceptable.
Somewhere along the way, you lost all sense of solicitude and turned to indifference. While you experienced a lot of boons from this, you recently encountered the repercussions behind it. So now that that's over, you can finally concentrate without the constant distraction of you being too mean and apathetic. (massive irony, i know)
Therefore, as your inner intellect, I am telling you this-
Study hard and everything else will fall into place. You see, achieveing good results fundamentally starts from good habits. Cultivate a natural habit of constant studying. Consistency is bliss. Don't let stress haunt you but instead believe in divine intervention. There's a fairly simple reason for this: Comfort. The idea of studying and divinity brings you comfort and solace. So, that's good because solace gives you clarity and clarity gives you knowledge and knowledge translates into A1! yay.

HI! for some reason i cant get colour for the font. imagine i'm purple. and the purple has finally come up with something to say

i love how Usain Bolt is cocky. i've been spending much time watching supersports now that i'm suppose to be studying. finally got to watch him run live. or at least i thought it was live. anyway the camera was on him most time he was on the track and before his race when everyone else was stretching and preparing themselves, he danced. he was dancing and doing kissy faces and stuff. i love it! then just before he started he did the catholic thing and just out ran everyone while looking absolutely relaxed. the commentator was like "ooo a bad start from bolt" , but aye what do you know from among the rest he just suddenly came right out front. and when he sees himself way ahead he just slows down and happily crosses the line. then he continues dancing. its outrageously cocky goodness.

i watched this report of this 24 year old (or 28.. 20 something at least) nanny in the US who claimed she fell in love with the 14 year old boy she was taking care of. and she asked his parents for their blessings to date him. America's a lovely place with endless possibilities.

I don't get how I can study so much about love yet fail to realize the fundamental lines of love.

I don't believe in love.

More precisely, I don't believe in boy love.

It's not that I'm parochial in my thinking about love, I just think that teenagers over regard it and blow it out of proportional, failing to understand the true meaning of it. But then again, I'm a teenager and I fail to comprehend love either so maybe I'm just as infantile as everyone else.

At one point while writing my Literature essay today, I wrote "The young lovers are perceived to be foolish because they believe in love." (Obviously, I changed it a few seconds later after I realized that the statment was far fetched and wrong).

But, for that instant there, I questioned life, love, happiness.

Like the young lovers in the book, are we foolish for being in love or wanting to believe in love?

Is it true that to be happy in life you need (boy) love?

That life is not complete without (boy) love?

In that case, I sure as hell must be a depressed child.

** I do realize that I'm being an absolutely bitchy adolescent and going through a phase. Having said that, I sincerely hope that I do find love in my future.

Until then, I think I'll live my life to the fullest (and by that I mean studying math, a math and chemistry)... because who needs boys when you can have girls! :)

There is a perfectly rash rationale on why girls and guys find the impulsive need to put a camera at their face and snap.

Here's how it all started...

We went shopping and I bought new ear rings. When i showed it to my sister, she somehow didnt think it looked that nice.

So, at about 12.30am or so I decided I had to prove her wrong and I tried them on.

The scientific rationale behind being sick

If I could keep a record and analyze how frequently I fall sick, I'll probably despise my own self for not taking good care.
The last time I was sick: 12 February 2009. I moaned in pain through Valentine's day, frantically studying chemistry and secretly depressed that I didn't have a date. ( in case your memory is that bad, read the archives. haha)

Anyway, when I cover one of my nostrils, my other produces this really loud rumbling sound almost like a d.c motor. ( for the sake of non physics students: think freight train maybe?). So this rumbling sound isn't temporary, it lasts to almost a minute and its annoying to say the least. After a minute or so, yellow slime start oozing its way out and in again ( depending on the presure and such) and I frantically rush to grab a piece of tissue paper.

Oh, another thing i discovered was that if i blow both nostrils simultaneously chinese mucus comes out from one and american mucus from the other which probably means I'm only half sick right? oh well. . .

Nonetheless, I'm not being spared the pain and exhaust of being sick with my ever so aching limbs and throbbing head.

AND DESPITE ALL THIS, I'M STILL GOING TO CHERYL (slut) SEAH'S HOUSE for her slut party.

i know this is kind of late. but since i have nothing to do i figured i'd might as well blog now. well i do have things to do like studying, cracking open textbooks, writing notes oh and did i forget to mention STUDYING?

gahh. anyway. went to acjc for the dep show

case and it so kicked ass. first had dinner with cheryl at plaza sing SHE WAS LATE AS USUAL. then took a train to bvista. and finally, a bus. 95 to be exact. we got kind of lost since cheryl kept saying the bus driver said duno what and timothy kept shouting though the phone to get of the bus. seriously must you people confuse me so much? ANYWAY. met timothy at the traffic light. walked towards acjc. where we saw the rest of the LD GANG. anisha delane sherie. uh i cant remember who else was there. oh well. while ld gang sat together timothy and i went to sit with wei ting, grace and her sister. i swear the showcase was freaking ah-maz-zing. btw grace if you are reading this. your brother is damn cool.

so went out with t,g,wt and olga for supper after. ah good time. the bloody bus bypassed us. note to self. DO NOT CLAP WHEN BUS COMES. it jinxes up everything. so got home kinda past midnight. mum got annoyed but whatever. my dad sent me home so big whoop.

then on sunday baldy evan erika THE OTHER GRACE and i went to ashtons to eat lunch. i love it there. so affordable. and went to evans house after.

so much fun in such a short period of time. now time to study. but why dont i feel the urgency to study even when prelims are less then a month away?

The long awaited

(before you read this, just know that I wrote this 3 weeks ago and forgot to publish it)

Upon departure from the RMUN borders,I feel a sense of isolation, almost like my future is slightly too obscure for my own benefit.
First things first,
Rmun was great, rather traumatizing but blissful as a whole.
Having learnt my lesson last year, I did this year slightly different though the effects were vastly different.
Firstly, I allied smartly! ( Russia- Somalia- Syria, YAY!)
And then as the debates grew slightly too boring when Russia and usa starting harping on the same issue of military intervention, I discovered my sudden talent for creating analogies which included:

1. colin’s resolution- an anorexic girl
2. bangladesh’s reso- eating a piece of chicken wing
3. us/uk’s crisis reso – a cockroach
4. russia’s reso- his body.

And though some were slightly too crude and number 1 and 3 never made its way to the podium, wu wei and I had a great time laughing at them! Haha
Now, this is when you start thinking that I totally exploited the Rmun experience since I hardly spoke about anything serious. But that’s where you’re wrong, you see RMUN was more than that to me. It was more of a liberation exercise away from all the school work and such. And though I’ll admit it excessively affected by relationships with math, mr chemistry, V and the rest, I don’t think I would have done it differently.
So thanks, to all those who made rmun a great time for me.

I stayed back after school today to meet my 'minus-a'.
It has almost been a year since I heard of him and it felt like meeting my other half.
Hoping that an exceptionally hot guy would walk in, I sat between Robyn and Julia and waited.

Meet Andie Deepa.

In the month of December, I spent everyday of my life with her.

We slept together, had so many nights filled with h2h(of which she told me about disgusting boys with sexy spanish names and I told her about ugly boys in Singapore), mornings involving breakfast with avocado paste and days filled with laughter.
